I've been writing since I could hold a crayon. Even before I knew the words.

 

It's magic to throw letters on a blank screen (or a piece of scrap paper Mom would find in her Mary Poppins bag when I was a kid) and express feeling. Words can inform, entertain, engage, and inspire. They can be heart-pounding, tear-jerking, and laugh-out-loud funny. 

 

Words tell a story. Words give graphics depth. Words connect people. 

 

In marketing, the right words can personify a brand and persuade a buyer. There's an art to language, but there's also science in knowing which keywords to use and how certain words will affect a target audience.

 

And somewhere in the middle of that intersection of creativity and word analytics is where I live. 

 

How lucky have I been that marketing has allowed me to turn my passion into employment?
